Design Consultation for the Maji Bora Multi-Country Small-Scale Safe Water Supply Programme of Activities (PoA)

Griot Consulting Ltd (“Griot”) is a UK and Kenya-based social enterprise working with the aim of sustainable natural resource management, conserving biodiversity, restoring ecosystems, and ensuring communities’ sustainable livelihoods. Griot would like to initiate a design consultation for a safe water PoA under the Gold Standard to enable stakeholders to influence and improve the PoA’s design and implementation of the intended activities. Griot is therefore seeking feedback on the design and implementation of this PoA.

The PoA will include safe water supply projects focusing on the installation/rehabilitation and solarisation of community boreholes that will increase water security, reduce poverty, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants associated with boiling water. The PoA will be implemented in Kenya, Burundi, and Tanzania. This PoA will provide a framework for including multiple individual small-scale projects known as VPAs at the later stages of the Programme.
